Our experience has shown that in cases of nerve damage to the upper or lower extremities, immediate rehabilitation using microsurgical techniques leads to excellent results.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In cases of iatrogenic damage to the peripheral nerves of the lower extremities, rapid clinical and electrophysiological study and staging of the extent of the damage, the degree of functional loss, as well as control of any spontaneous reinnervation are required.<\/p>\n\n

Unfortunately, cases of iatrogenic injury are diagnosed too late for immediate surgical repair.<\/p>\n\n

At our Clinic, we have developed a specific approach to the timing and extent of surgical rehabilitation in cases of damage to the distal extremities of the lower limb. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n

In cases where a transection or acute pressure of a nerve trunk is detected, surgical intervention is immediate.<\/p>\n\n

In all other cases, after 3-4 months, rehabilitation is decided if there is no spontaneous reinnervation. Rehabilitation consists of neurolysis and, if necessary, replacement of the area of \u200b\u200bnerve damage with nerve grafts.<\/p>\n\n
